Guest lecture by Volocopter in management lecture

Volocopter inspires students in the MAN 301 course with insights into strategies and innovations in urban air mobility.

The innovative start-up Volocopter from Bruchsal gave an exciting guest lecture to around 600 students as part of the Strategic and International Management bachelor course (MAN 301). The focus was on key topics such as the company's mission and purpose, the strategic framework, competition, market entry and innovations in Germany.

Volocopter is a pioneer in the field of urban air mobility. The Bruchsal-based company develops electrically powered air cabs that are set to revolutionize traffic in congested cities. With its fully electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOLs), Volocopter is working to create sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation solutions. The company's goal is to transport people safely and efficiently over short distances through the air in the near future, thereby reducing traffic jams on the roads. Volocopter sees itself as a pioneer in the field of urban mobility and is actively working to realize its market entry in Germany and other international markets.

Together with the students, Volocopter worked on questions relating to the upcoming market entry in Germany: What advantages and disadvantages could such a move entail? What factors would the management have to take into account to ensure a successful market entry? Finally, the question of which German city could be a particularly suitable location for Volocopter and why was discussed.

This practice-oriented exchange offered the students valuable insights into the strategic considerations of an innovative company that wants to shape the future of urban mobility.
