Sustainability reporting is entering a new era, with the launch of European (ESRS) and International (ISSB) standards. This talk will address how these standards work alongside one another, and also how they build upon existing practice that has used GRI, TCFD, SASB, Integrated Reporting and other standards and frameworks. The focus will be on underlying concepts, which will be evaluated in the light of evolving institutional practice.
Richard Barker was appointed as a full-time member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) in July 2022. He is on leave from his role as Professor of Accounting at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He has served on EFRAG’s Academic Panel, and he led the establishment of the European Accounting Association’s Stakeholder Reporting Committee.
The seminar is open to the public. Registration will be open approximately two weeks before the event. To receive invitations for upcoming seminar talks, please sign up for the mailing list via this form.
