German Internet Panel
The German Internet Panel (GIP) is a survey infrastructure and long-term study conducted by the University of Mannheim. The GIP researches individual attitudes and preferences that are relevant in political and economic decision-making processes. For this purpose, more than 4,000 people across Germany are regularly interviewed online on wide range of topics since 2012.
In November 2025, the German Internet Panel has already conducted its 80th survey wave.
The bi-monthly GIP surveys include research questions from scientists at the University of Mannheim as well as research questions from external scientists.
If you are interested in collecting data for your research via the GIP, please contact us: gipuni-mannheim.de.
We will be happy to discuss with you how and when the questions of your planned project can be integrated into the GIP and what the costs would be.
