Elisabeth Ebert earned her Bachelor's degree in Economics from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, with a study abroad experience at the University of Bergen in Norway. She then completed her Master's degree in Innovation Economics at Lund University in Sweden, where her Master's thesis focused on the internationalization of digital business models in the manufacturing industry. During her studies, she gained professional experience at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW), the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Beijing. Since January 2020, she has been a research associate at the Institute for SME Research (ifm) Mannheim in the research area of Digitalization and Competitiveness.
