ENGAGE.EU Grant

You can apply for an ENGAGE.EU Grant if you are studying a bachelor’s or master’s program at the University of Mannheim. We accept applications from all schools and semesters. When awarding the grants, we take into account your personal, economic, or health situation.

Students can apply for a one-time travel and accommodation grant for participation in events held at ENGAGE.EU partner universities (e.g. workshops, summer schools), whereby the amount of the grant will depend on the respective country of destination (see call for applications) for country-specific rates). Additionally, participants can apply for a grant to cover attendance fees to the extent of 50% of the total amount and up to a maximum of 500 euros.

The ENGAGE.EU Grant covers events from our partner universities that are not offered within the framework of ENGAGE.EU. For details on the specific programs offered by the ENGAGE.EU partner universities, please see the respective websites.

You can apply for funding at any time.

The letter of motivation should comprise a maximum of one DIN A4 page in English. It provides you with an opportunity to explain the reasons for your application as well as your personal, economic, or health situation.

Please submit an up-to-date and complete curriculum vitae.

Please enclose your school-leaving certificate / university entrance qualification.

Please enclose your current enrollment certificate from the University of Mannheim.

Please complete and submit a declaration of consent form confirming that you agree with the processing of your personal data.
