The Mannheim Scholarship represents the city's close ties with its university. By funding talented students, the City of Mannheim wishes to emphasize that well-educated young people are welcome at the economic and academic hub of Mannheim. Therefore, each year, the city funds three students with an amount of EUR 150 per month.
Mannheim is shaped by innovative power and diversity of business sectors. In order to maintain this position, the city promotes highly qualified specialists and young talents. Hence, outstanding academic performance and social commitment are important selection criteria. On top of that, the selection committee takes into consideration the applicants’ personal background.
Enrolled students from all disciplines pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or state examination degree at the University of Mannheim are eligible to apply. In order to qualify, you need to complete your degree within the standard period of study.
The selection committee awards the scholarships based on talent and performance. The selection committee considers outstanding academic performance, social commitment, as well as personal circumstances, such as having a migrant or non-academic background.
We will only consider applications submitted in due time and form and including all requested documents. We do not accept any subsequent submissions of individual proofs or certificates.
