Call for Applications: Mannheim Scholarship for the Academic Year 2026/2027

The President’s Office of the University of Mannheim issues the following Call for Applications for the academic year 2026/2027 for three Mannheim Scholarships in the funding period from 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2027.

Application for the Mannheim Scholarship is open to enrolled students of all fields. Each scholarship amounts to EUR 150 per month and is funded by the City of Mannheim

By granting the scholarships, the City of Mannheim wishes to emphasize the deep connection between the city and its university. The scholarships signal to young, well-qualified people that they are welcome in Mannheim, an economic and academic hub, and that there are excellent professional opportunities for graduates after the completion of their studies.

Mannheim, the “City of Squares”, is characterized by innovation, diversity of professional fields, and a variety of cultural offerings. It has been a city of technical, musical and athletic talents and personalities for many generations.

The aim of the City of Mannheim and the Department of Economic and Structural Development is to support highly qualified experts and young professionals and to invite them to become involved in the regional economy.

The scholarships are awarded to promote talent and performance. A crucial criterion for consideration are therefore excellent academic achievements as well as social commitment. Moreover, family-related circumstances such as having a migrant or non-academic background are taken into account as well.
