Bye D2, Hi T1!

Dear D2 Community,

After many years of training together at D2, it’s time for something new!
Our current location, D2, will unfortunately no longer be available to us at the end of this year – but we’re taking it in stride! After an intensive search, we’ve found new premises that perfectly match our vision for modern and versatile training.

Starting in 2026, it’s time to say: Welcome to T1!
The best part: we’ll remain right in the city center – with excellent transport connections and a central location.
At T1, you can look forward to even more space for your workouts, which we’ll use for new equipment, larger changing rooms, modern showers, and plenty of room for diversity and growth.

It’s important to us that T1 not only meets functional needs but also carries on the special atmosphere of D2 – student-oriented, open, community-driven, and sporty. We’re designing the new space to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable.

During the short transition period between D2 and T1, you’ll still be able to stay active: you can train at our 55 CrossGym Studio, which will offer extended opening hours and an expanded equipment area.

In addition, the validity of existing GymCards will automatically be extended by the duration of the temporary closure caused by the move. We’re keeping this period as short as possible – so it’s definitely worth continuing to purchase GymCards and joining us as we enter this new training era!

We’ll, of course, keep you updated and are very excited to start this new chapter with you at T1!
If you have any questions about the move or your GymCard in the meantime, please feel free to contact us at t1gymmail-uni-mannheim.de

    With sporty regards,
    Your Institute of Sports
