ENGAGE.EU is a consortium of leading European universities in Business, Economics and Social Sciences. ENGAGE.EU aims to empower students to act as socially engaged European citizens and to have an impact on society as a whole. Building on a solid background in social sciences, ENGAGE.EU is pursuing a comprehensive approach that follows three interconnected paths: “Engaged Learning”, “Engaged Research and Innovation”, and “Engaged in Society”.
Regarding the third pillar, “Engaged in Society”, the Center of Teacher Education and Educational Innovation (ZLBI) is responsible for planning and conducting a survey within the participating universities. The aim is to record the current state, framework conditions and best practice examples of social transfers (societal outreach). The results of the survey served as the basis for a collaborative workshop in the summer of 2021. In addition, the ZLBI organizes a seven-week program for students from the seven partner universities, during which social transfer and its requirements and challenges are examined from a student perspective.
