Since fall 2022, the Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre funds a new Virtual Reality project at the Chair of Economic and Business Education (Professor Seifried). The educational innovation team is a project partner. Its contribution is the Collaboration Circle.
The project “Virtual reality to support innovative instructional design approaches” (“Virtual Reality zur Unterstützung innovativer Instructional Design Ansätze”), which is scheduled to run for two years, is about testing didactic innovations in a virtual classroom. A realistic setting is created in which students have the opportunity to develop and test teaching strategies.
The project is based on a project funded by the Innovative Digitale Lehre (InnoMA) initiative at the University of Mannheim (“Design of explanatory scenarios in the virtual classroom” (“Design von Erklärszenarien im virtuellen Klassenzimmer”)) and expands on previous work.
