Emre Alagöz successfully completed his dissertation project titled “Psychometric Modeling of Response Process Heterogeneity with Mixture Item Response Tree Models” at the University of Mannheim.

On March 3, 2026, Timo Seitz successfully defended his thesis titled “Disentangling Substantive Traits and Faking in High-Stakes Personality Assessments Using Item Response Theory Modeling” at the University of Mannheim.

On November 28 and 29 the SMiP group met in Ludwigshafen for its anual Fall Winter Retreat. We welcomed the SMiP PIs, PhD Candidates, the two SMiP veterans Fabiola Reiber and Lukas Schumacher as well as Andreas Neubauer as our guest.
