Possible thesis topics
Ph.D. students are very welcome to devise their own thesis topic so long as it fits in with my general research interests (more of which can be found on my homepage, see above) and is compatible with the SMiP agenda (i.e. involves statistical modeling). Here are some exemplary thesis topics along with papers that might serve as a demonstration of the kind of research a topic may involve:
- Pesonality (cf. hexaco.org, darkfactor.org) and personality assessment
- Mechanisms of social and ethical decision making
- Framing effects in truth judgments
- Indirect questioning (randomized response) techniques
Please note: This is not an exhausive list, nor is it meant to constrain possible topics. It merely serves to give examples.
