Policies of Gym D2

1. Prerequisites for participation
The gym in D2 is open to eligible participants with a valid FitnessCard. The FitnessCard can be booked online at the website of the Institute of Sports, the printed proof of purchase has to be presented unprompted to the supervisors. 
The Institute of Sports recommends booking an introduction to equipment (free of charge) as well, the course's dates are in the programme.

2. Opening Hours
The gym in D2 is open from Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 10:30pm, on weekends and public holidays from 10am to 8pm. The gym is closed during Christmas holidays, New Year, New Year's Eve, and Good Friday.

3. Clothes and Hygiene
Participants have to wear clean sports shoes that are not worn outside. Appropriate sports clothes are mandatory. A towel has to be used on the machines for hygiene reasons. The equipment (especially the ellipticals and other endurance equipment) have to be cleaned after use by the user with disinfectants provided in the facilities. Colouring or tinting hair is not allowed in the bathrooms, as well as shaving.

4. Proper Use of Equipment
The dumbbells, plates, and small equipment have to be put away after use. Barbell bars and similar equipment have to be dismounted and put away after use, e.g. the plates have to be taken off the bar and put away as well. Ellipticals and other cardio equipment have to be wiped off after use with disinfectant and paper towels provided in the facilities.
Equipment and/or machines cannot be “reserved”. All users are asked to check the venues, equipment, materials, and machines for safety defects. If they are unsure, an instructor should be asked to check the equipment in question for them. Possible defects have to be reported without delay (at the latest on the next working day) to the responsibles at university sports.

5. AOB
Bags are not allowed in the training area. Lockers are available in the entrance area and free of charge. Beverages are allowed in break-proof lidded bottles, beverages can also be bought at the reception.
Glass bottles and the consumption of food are not allowed. The users are liable for intentional or negligent damages or soiling of the venues, as well as for other damages they cause. Bikes are not allowed inside the venues, bikes and motorbikes have to be parked in the designated spaces outside. Smoking is not allowed in the venue.

6. House Regulations
The supporting organisation or a commissioned supervisor exercise the domiciliary rights. Violations of the house regulations and the prerequisites for participation may result in exclusion from the further use of the gym in D2.
