The University of Mannheim Foundation does its best to coordinate the further development of the university. This requires endowments from companies and individuals – a worthwhile investment in the excellence and future of one of the best higher education institutions for economic and social sciences.
The University of Mannheim has a clear goal: It aims to be one of the leading international universities in the field of economic and social sciences. With its innovation power and performance in research and teaching the university is well on the way to achieve this. In the next few years and beyond, the aim is to continue to advance internationalization with a focus on social issues and to remain competitive. To me, this is taking responsibility for the future. And that’s what I advocate for with the Freunde der Universität Mannheim.
Initial funding
Without the endowments from the former foundation of ABSOLVENTUM and the Freunde der Universität Mannheim, the University of Mannheim Foundation would not exist today. Therefore, we would like to express our gratitude once again.
The foundation has close ties to the alumni association ABSOLVENTUM. Every month we publish the latest news from the foundation in the ABSOLVENTUM Newsletter.
The Freunde der Universität Mannheim was also one of the associations that provided us with initial funding. Over a hundred companies and individuals support the association with the goal of promoting the university’s strengths. The Freunde der Universität Mannheim award scholarships, support cutting-edge research and innovative student projects.
