Meizi Liu earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Statistics and Data Science in 2023, and her Master’s degree in Quantitative Economics in 2025, both from UCLA. Her research interests include applied microeconomics, behavioral and experimental economics, organizational behavior, and data-driven analysis. At UCLA, she worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Zhenyu Liao, using deep learning, topic modeling, and embedding techniques to study racial bias in venture capital decision-making. In September 2025, Meizi will begin her doctoral studies at the University of Mannheim, where she aims to further explore equity-related issues in markets and organizations.
