Paul Steger

Paul Steger was born in 1993 in Schorndorf, Germany. He received his bachelor degree in economics from the University of Mannheim. During this time, he spent a semester abroad at Koç University in Istanbul and worked as an intern at the ZEW. He obtained his master degree in economics from the University of Mannheim as well. In the course of his graduate studies, he worked as a research assistant at ZEW and interned at the German Council of Economic Experts. In his master thesis, he analyzed both theoretically and empirically whether public indebtedness on the municipal level affects location decisions of households.

His research interests lie in the fields of public economics, political economy and labor economics. In his free time, he enjoys travelling, listening to music and going to the gym.
