Tobias Kalmbach was born in Tübingen, Germany. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim. Subsequently, he pursued a Master’s degree in Management with a focus on Accounting from the University of Mannheim. During his studies, he spent two semesters abroad: the first one at EAFIT University, Colombia, and the second one at Bocconi University, Italy. Moreover, Tobias gained practical experience during two internships in audit, one in the industry line and the other one in the financial services line, and two internships in the corporate controlling department of internationally operating firms, one operating in the automotive sector and the other one operating in the chemical sector. During his graduate studies, he worked at the Chair of Business Administration and Accounting and the Chair of Accounting and Capital Markets as student research assistant. Tobias joined the Accounting track of the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business in September 2022.
