Maik Sattelmaier holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Economics and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Hohenheim. During his studies he spent a semester at the Toulouse School of Economics and another at FSEG Strasbourg.  In his Master thesis he analysed the effect of cross-country tax differentials on corporate and household migration and its implications for tax policy design and national revenues within the EU. Prior to becoming a Ph.D. candidate, Maik worked as a specialist in quantitative risk management at a bank. Maik joined the Taxation track at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business in September 2023.
