Giovanni was born in 1994 in Cremona, Italy. He completed his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics in Milan at the University of Milano Bicocca. He then obtained his Master of Science in Economics in a joint Double Degree program between the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy) and Konstanz University (Germany). He has worked as a student assistant for Junior Prof. Dr. Lyudmila Grigoryeva together with the Computational Chemistry Group at Uni Konstanz on machine learning applications. His Master's thesis focused on inequality and related policies in a heterogeneous agents model with human capital.

His fields of interest are macroeconomics, labor economics, computational economics and machine learning. His hobbies and passions are programming, movies, tennis and hiking.
