Jakob was born in Stuttgart in 1995. Before joining the CDSE, he received his B.Sc. in Economics from Heidelberg University and his M.Sc. in Economics from Mannheim University. During the bachelor’s, he started working as an intern at Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW). There, he continued working as a research assistant during the master’s program in the department Social Policy and Redistribution. His main field of interest is labor market economics. In his master thesis he analyzed inequalities in tax deduction behavior of German taxpayers. In his spare time he enjoys playing football, going to concerts, making music as well as reading.
