Jan-Niklas was born in 1998 in Dannenberg (Elbe), Germany. After finishing his bachelor’s studies in Global Business Management at the University of Augsburg, he switched to Economics for his master’s degree at Goethe University Frankfurt where he graduated in 2023. During his time in Frankfurt, he worked as a research assistant in the field of macroeconomic dynamics. His current research interest lies in macroeconomics, focused on the application of structural macroeconomic models in the area of public finance, family economics, and demographics. In his master’s thesis, he analyzed the impact of demographic change on households’ demand for risk-free and risky assets.

In his leisure time, he enjoys playing all kinds of ball sports, especially soccer, and is interested in modern and contemporary art.
