Yuqi was born in 1999 in Shandong, China. She participated in a 2+2 program, spending two years at Shandong University of Economics and Finance before transferring to Dalhousie University, where she earned an honors bachelor's degree in Economics. Recognizing the importance of mathematics in advanced economics, she pursued a master's degree in Mathematical Finance at the University of Birmingham before joining CDSE. Her research interests lie in labor economics, with a particular focus on the gender wage gap.
