Adiya Sadanova

Adiya was born in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in History from Nazarbayev University. She then completed a Master’s degree in Economics as part of the RoME program, jointly offered by EIEF and Luiss University. During her studies, she gained research experience as a research assistant on projects in political economy and applied microeconomics. Her research interests lie in political economy and industrial organization, with a particular focus on how institutional and market dynamics shape responses in emerging economies. Her master’s thesis examined the differential impact of identity policy change on attitudes across ethnic groups in Kazakhstan.
