Leonard Bek

Leonard Bek is a doctoral candidate in Sociology at the CDSS. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology  from the University of Mannheim and a master’s degree in Sociology from the Goethe University of Frankfurt. During his undergraduate and graduate studies, he worked as a student research assistant for Prof. Dr. Florian Keusch at the chair of Social Data Science and Methodology.

Leonard's research interests include economic sociology and development economics, among other fields. He wrote his master thesis on the impact of renewable energy sources on economic inequality.  His methodological focus is on quantitative methods and computational social sciences.
