Biography
Dr. Pedro Ortiz Suarez was postdoctoral researcher in the Data and Web Science Group at the University of Mannheim, working with Prof. Dr. Simone Paolo Ponzetto and Prof. Dr. Christian Bizer. His work is focused on the development of large corpora for training language models, specially for under resourced languages and historical languages. Pedro was previously a PhD from Inria and Sorbonne Université, France. He is the leader of the OSCAR project and currently one of the funding members of the BigScience project.
