Chen Lin was born in China. He completed his bachelor's degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2013. Subsequently, he worked as a logistics analyst and then a buy-side equity research analyst for 5 years. Before joining the GESS, he studied as master of economics and management science at the Humboldt University of Berlin. During the master's study, he was a student assistant for both the finance faculty and the International Research Training Group 1792 “High Dimensional Nonstationary Time Series.
