Sophia Wickel was born in Bad Mergentheim, Germany. In 2018, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim. During her undergraduate studies, Sophia spent a semester abroad at Stockholm University, Sweden. Subsequently, she acquired her Master’s degree in Management with a focus on Business Taxation from the University of Mannheim. Further, she gained practical experience during internships in the tax consultancy departments at Falk & Co and PwC, as a tutor for the undergraduate courses Mathematics of Finance and Quantitative Methods and as a student research assistant at the Chair of Taxation and Finance. In September 2020, Sophia joined the Taxation track of the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business.
