Rezvan Derayati was born in Ferdos, Iran. She obtained her Bachelor‘s degree (B.Sc.) in industrial engineering at Polytechnic of Tehran, Iran. Then she came to Pisa, Italy, to acquire her Master‘s degree (M.Sc.) in Economics. During her graduate studies, she did an internship in Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) in Rome. She won the Special Scholarship for the best international student of the Joint Master Program of Economics of University of Pisa and the Institute of Economics of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna (2019–2020 academic year). Rezvan graduated with her Master's degree cum laude and then started an internship in the Institute of Energy Economics at the University of Cologne (EWI). Rezvan joined the accounting Track of the Center of Doctoral Studies in Business in September 2021.
