Yue Wu was born in Shandong, China. After obtaining her MSc. in Finance at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, she joined Tsinghua University as a junior research fellow at the Research Center for Green Finance Development. There, she worked on green finance policy and green bond empirical research, and was a part of green finance research programs in collaboration with the People’s Bank of China, World Bank, and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), among others. She then spent one year at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) as a research assistant in the field of quantitative finance.
She also spent 6 months with the Macro and Green Finance Lab at the National School of Development in Peking University and continued her green finance policy and carbon market research, before she worked as an intern research fellow at the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) of China. There, she participated in several research programs on development economics, especially on the global GDP growth rate slowdown and potential stagflation. She is a co-author of the Global Development Report by DRC.
Yue joins the Finance track at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business, GESS in 2023.
