Luca Gutekunst was born in Heidelberg, Germany. In 2019, he started his B.Sc. in Business Administration at the University of Mannheim. As part of his bachelor’s program, he spent one semester as an exchange student at the University of Toronto in Canada. While pursuing his Bachelor’s, Luca worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Business Administration and Taxation II, and gained professional experience through internships in tax consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. After graduating in 2022, he joined the Mannheim Master in Management (M.Sc.) program, focusing on Taxation and Finance and a minor in Tax Law. During his master’s studies, he held a position as a working student in tax consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. In September 2024, Luca joined the Taxation track of the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences.
