Mishelle Segui obtained her bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in economics at the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico, where she spent a semester abroad at the University of Cologne. In her master’s she focused on Macroeconomics and International Economics at the University of Maryland, where she advanced to a Ph.D. candidacy and obtained the degree M.A. in Economics. She also completed a doctoral course at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. During her studies she gained practical experiences working as a lecturer, teaching and research assistant. She also worked as a junior researcher at the Central Bank in Mexico and at the Inter-American Conference on Social Security in Mexico.
She wrote a few working papers as part of her Ph.D. studies and attended some economic conferences. She worked as lecturer giving the B.A. introductory course in Macroeconomics at the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico. She currently works as a research assistant for Prof. Dr. Voget at the University of Mannheim. In September 2024, Mishelle joined the Taxation Track of the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences.
