Born in 1996, Shaurya hails from Delhi, India. For ranking in the top 1% of students nationwide in the Senior School Certificate Exam, she received the Government of India’s Scholarship for Higher Education and studied Information Technology Engineering at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering, Delhi. Subsequently, she went on to pursue M.S. in Engineering Management at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, United States where she worked as a teaching and research assistant at the chair of Strategic Management. During her graduate studies that coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic, she co-founded a mental health SaaS startup on campus. After graduating, she worked in the Digital Business Transformation domain in an American multinational where she spearheaded the implementation of the company’s core digital strategy.

Shaurya joined the Management track of the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences in September 2024.
