Andres was born in 1991, in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2013 from Federico Santa Maria Technical University and his Master's degree in Economics in 2016 from ILADES / Georgetown University. In his Master's thesis he performed an impact evaluation of Ecuador's conditional cash transfer on children's health outcomes. After his studies, Andres gained teaching experience as adjunct professor at Federico Santa Maria Technical University Campus Guayaquil, where he taught undergraduate courses of economic theory and econometrics.

His fields of interest are applied microeconometrics, labor economics, and health economics.
