Chang Liu

Chang Liu was born in 1997 in Anhui, China. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications from 2014 to 2018, graduating with 1st rank in economics. During this time, he also developed a keen interest in mathematics and pursued courses in Applied Mathematics. In 2016, he achieved the first prize (ranked 3rd) in the 27th Mathematics Competition for College Students in Beijing. Following his undergraduate studies, Chang furthered his academic journey with a Master of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics in the UK. This one-year period provided him with rigorous and valuable training in pure economics. 

In 2019, Chang joined CDSE and completed his coursework, officially becoming a Ph.D. candidate in the summer of 2021. Early in his research, he focused on auctions with signaling. Currently, his primary interests also lie in financial economics, especially financial market microstructure, and applied auction theory.

In his free time, Chang enjoys hiking, cooking, and reading novels.
