Asaf was born in Jerusalem, Israel. He obtained his Bachelors’ and Masters’ degrees in Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. During his studies, Asaf has worked as a research assistant for two professors at the Hebrew University. His research interests are applied labour economics and economic history, and he has focused his MA thesis on the effects of immigration on the Israeli labour market.
In his free time, Asaf enjoys playing the guitar and hiking in nature.
