Siyu grew up in Chongqing, China. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in International Business from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, China. In the following he received his Master Degree in Economics from Xiamen University, China. During this time, Siyu spent one semester abroad at Humboldt University Berlin. In his master’s thesis, he empirically investigated the effects of gasoline price shock on traffic congestion and air pollution in China’s cities.
His research interests are mainly in the fields of environmental, public, urban and labour economics. In his leisure time, he enjoys swimming and travelling.
