Max was born in 1997 in Donauwörth, Germany. He obtained a bachelor´s degree in Business Studies in the beautiful city of Nuremberg. During his bachelor studies, he spent one semester at the University of Turku, Finland. He then moved to Mannheim and obtained his master´s degree in Economics. Alongside his studies he gathered practical experience as an intern for a public sector as well as an economic consultancy and teaching experience as a TA for Microeconomics. His research interests include Industrial Organization, Behavioral Economics and Public Economics. In his master´s thesis, he developed a survey experiment to study the effects of the gender composition of reference groups on the phenomenon of last-place aversion.

In his spare time, Max enjoys long walks and runs along the Neckar as well as playing football and table tennis.
