Yiwei was born in September 1997. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of Reading in England. She graduated from the University of Reading as the top one student in Economics. During her third and fourth years as an undergraduate student, she worked as a co-author to her professors on three research papers in the fields of spatial econometrics, labor economics, and sports economics. Following this, she attended the Scottish Graduate Program in Economics at the University of Edinburgh for her master’s degree. Her master’s thesis is on the empirical relationship between fertility decisions and employment risk among couples in the United Kingdom. Her research interests are labor economics, immigration economics, family economics and applied econometrics.
In her free time, she likes watching movies, reading books, cooking, and dabbling in psychology. She particularly enjoys the company of her two dogs, Dulu and Xiaogang.
