Freya was born in 2001 in Bonn, Germany. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Mannheim and joined the CDSE via the Master of Economic Research Track. Next to her studies, she also works as a research assistant at the Chair of Public Finance and Economic Policy. 

Her research interests are public economics, in particular taxation, and econometrics. In her bachelor thesis she studied the political economy of housing supply in the United States.

In her free time, Freya does cheerleading, goes to the theatre, and likes to visit amusement parks.
