Giacomo was born in 1997 in Padua, Italy. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration at the University of Padua. He then continued his studies at the University of Padua, where he gained a Master of Science in Economics and Finance. His Master's thesis proposes an empirical analysis of the breakdowns and revivals of the quantity theory of money in the US via a time-varying coefficient VAR model with stochastic volatility. He has also worked (together with Efrem Castelnuovo and Giovanni Pellegrino) on a study on the response of the real exchange rate to an identified US monetary policy shock. His fields of interest are macroeconomics, time series, and monetary and fiscal policy.
