Janko was born in 1995 in Dieburg, Germany. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Goethe University Frankfurt and a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Mannheim, where he also obtained practical research experience by working as a student research assistant at the Chair of Applied Macroeconomics. He is interested in Economic History with a focus on cultural and societal issues, and in the History of Economic Thought.

In his spare time, Janko enjoys reading, playing the trombone and video games, and doing volunteer political work.
