Center: Economics

Lukas was born in Ehrenkirchen near Freiburg, Germany. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Freiburg, majoring in economics and theology. Continuing his academic journey, he pursued a master's degree in economics at the same university while also taking master-level courses in the math department with a focus on probability theory. During his time at the university, Lukas gained valuable practical experience as a teaching assistant in both the economics and math departments. In the economics department, he was TA to courses covering macroeconomics and climate change models, and he also assisted with analysis and probability theory in the math department. Lukas's passion lies at the intersection of economics and mathematics, particularly in the field of econometrics.

In his free time, Lukas finds joy in engaging in long-distance running and has a keen interest in reading books.

He is grateful to be supported by a scholarship of the Cusanuswerk.
