Timo grew up in the Rhine-Main area. For his Bachelor’s degree in Economics, he enrolled at the University of Mannheim. During his time there, complemented by an exchange semester at the University of Edinburgh, he developed a keen interest in all kinds of microeconomic modelling. He further pursued that interest in his time at the University of Bonn, where he graduated with a Master’s in Economics. During his studies, he worked in the Market Design group at ZEW as a student assistant.
