Barbara K. Kreis is a PhD candidate in Psychology at the CDSS. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree of Psychology at the University of Saarland (Germany) and studied for one semester at the University of Bergen (Norway).
Since her third semester, Barbara worked as a research assistant at the chair of “Development of Language, Learning and Action” of Prof. Jutta Kray. She was part of a research project on adolescent development. In her degree theses, she examined the development of adolescent risk-taking and its relation to other constructs such as working memory, cognitive control and the socio-emotional system.
Barbara is generally interested in decision-making and learning processes. In her PhD studies she focuses on hindsight bias and its potential underlying mechanisms. Methodologically, she is interested in a Bayesian approach to data analysis and statistical modeling.
