Hannah Reitz is a PhD candidate in Sociology at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Social and Behavioral Sciences (CDSS) of the University of Mannheim. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Political Science from the University of Munich (LMU) and a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Mannheim. During her undergraduate studies, she spent two semesters at the Maynooth University in Ireland. She worked as a research assistant for the Chair of Empirical Political Research and Policy Analysis at the LMU Munich and for the Chair of General Sociology at the University of Mannheim.
In her master thesis, she examined the relationship between the ethnic composition in classrooms and the educational achievement as well as school satisfaction of adolescents. Hannah’s research interests include migration and integration, ethnic discrimination, social inequality, education, and health sociology.
