Hello everybody!

My name is Marisa – short for Maria-Luisa.

I am a doctoral candidate in psychology at the Graduate School of Economics and Social Sciences (GESS).

I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Tilburg University in the Netherlands where I focused on economic and consumer psychology. To deepen my understanding of this area in psychology, I continued my studies with a master’s double-degree program offered by Tilburg University and the University of Osnabrück. In Tilburg I specialized further in economic psychology, whereas my time in Osnabrück provided me with a high-level cross-cultural perspective on social psychology and research practices.

Next to my graduate studies, I gained valuable insights in the application of consumer psychology and research practices in non-academic settings by working in two market research agencies – for the German market and internationally. Starting my journey as doctoral candidate, I will also be active as an academic staff member at the chair of Consumer and Economic Psychology.
