Jonathan Sattler

Jonathan completed a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering at TH Mittelhessen, before completing his Master’s degree in Management at the University of Mannheim, including terms abroad at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver and Copenhagen Business School. 

During his studies, he specialized in sustainability, accounting and taxation. His master’s thesis analyzed the influence of accounting rules on renewable hydrogen production under EU guidelines. 

Jonathan has 5 years of work experience at Rittal, including his time as a Bachelor’s student, working in various departments, such as controlling, supply chain management, product management and digital sales. Furthermore, he has practical experience working in ESG reporting at Infraserv, as well as research experience through his employment at the Chair of Taxation of Philipp Dörrenberg.

His research interests are at the intersection of sustainability and accounting and taxation, focussing on regulation and its effects on companies.

He joined the Taxation track of the CDSB at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences in September 2026.
