Philipp, born and grown up in Austria, came to Germany in 2020 in order to do his Bachelor’s degree in International Business Management at Ludwigshafen University, followed by a Master’s Degree in Management in Mannheim, which he earned in 2026.
Throughout his studies he specialized in Accounting and Taxation, but further indulged himself in Japanese Studies and became proficient in the language as he spent about two years in the country, studying at Nagoya City University and working as an intern at TANIOBIS Japan Co., Ltd.
He is currently located at the chair of Business Administration and Accounting of Prof. Simons.

In September 2026, Philipp joined the Accounting track at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences.

With his research in analytical accounting he wants to contribute to the trans-regional collaborative research center TRR 266 Accounting for Transparency.
