Yağmur Deniz was born in 1997 in Ankara, Turkey. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Economics from Sabancı University, where she also served as a Learning and Teaching Assistant for various courses and completed internships at two banks. She continued her education with a Master's degree at Sabancı University, graduating in 2023. During her Master's studies, she worked as a research assistant at a center funded by the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD), focusing on topics such as energy intensity, productivity, competition, and international trade. Her dissertation was titled “The Impact of the Paris Agreement on Turkish Manufacturing Firms.” Following her graduation, she worked as an associate in the research departments of Turkiye's two largest development banks.

Her research interests include environmental economics, international trade, and applied econometrics.
