Raphael Strerath

Raphael earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Konstanz and his master’s degree in Economics from the University of Bonn. During his studies, he spent exchange semesters at Reichman University and the Toulouse School of Economics. He worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Applied Economic Research at the University of Konstanz and with Samuel Bowles at the Santa Fe Institute. His research interests lie in labour economics and international trade, focusing on firm dynamics and labour-market frictions. His master’s thesis examines the interaction between minimum wages and offshoring in monopsonistic labour markets. In his free time, Raphael enjoys road cycling and hiking.
